Richard Bendall Totally different from the other album I've listened to. This sounds a more demented Black Sabbath but you cannot fuck with these riffs. Favorite track: The Rider.
Mitchfynde
Mitchfynde thumbnail
Mitchfynde This was Ice Dragon's big return to the doom metal style and HOLY SHIT is it fucking heavy. There's only one catch, and Ice Dragon fans will have already guessed it: it sounds nothing like their old stuff. Guess what? It doesn't matter. They've not only made a record that will please their old fans, but a record that will please fans of more traditional doom metal as well. Favorite track: The Arrival.
Brian Roberts

Brian Roberts Richard Neary nailed it and to quote "Aww this is good. Really great fast dirty Sabbath infused riffs. The vocals sounds like Ozzy drowning in blood in a space suit. The opening track is addictive and track two sounds like the soundtrack to the Apocalypse." Favorite track: The Rider.

The Rider 04:19
As the hooves fall leaving tracks In the pure and driven snow You are weary but your steed does know the way Just let him know May you find your destination Before nightfall brings the cold With a trail of dead behind you And your victories untold May the wind be at your back May it guide you on your path Great rider May the wind be at your back May it come down hard and fast Great rider Frozen bones that crack With every move, with every breath And though the road is very long You must continue on your quest May the sword or may the spear Swiftly take you to your death β€˜til enemies or thee are gone Neither one will ever rest

The Journey 05:26
Squall of disquiet In deathlike silence Angels turn away Sickness pang and nausea seep Left to throb and heave Ultima Thule Is out of reach All there is to life is death Captives of the frozen sea A prey forever hunted Starving through insanity The fool the only master Cankers of the earth are we And the heavens fill with laughter
3.
The Arrival 08:17
Through the black sharp mountains Up the winding stair Up, up, up, we're almost there Shadow and flame Broken bones and dirt The call of drum and horn From under the earth Softly uttered groans Leaked forth from age-worn stone Men of honor falter at the horrors they have known That is not dead which can eternal lie And with strange aeons even death may die Behold the nameless city Older than legend itself Birthed before the Angel's fall Before the gates of hell Primitive altars Fashioned not by man Carvings of antiquity Worn away by wind and sand Worn away by weather's hand That is not dead which can eternal lie And with strange aeons even death may die From the twilight shadows Time ceases to exist Nothing upon nothing In the black abyss Nothing upon nothing In the black abyss Behold the nameless city Older than legend itself Birthed before the Angel's fall Before the gates of hell

The Light 06:47
Shadow silent still Turn away chilled Figure through beyond Shaking better not Light from the moon Casts a shape without form In bramble be caught Feel the prick of the thorn A drip never ending From scarred tangled veins The cycle continues The wax and the wane Against the light Night retreats and shadows sigh Against the light Fires calm and embers die
